Proman Stena Bulk, a joint venture (JV) company of Stena Bulk and Proman, has taken the delivery of its fourth methanol-fueled tanker from Guangzhou Shipyard International. Dubbed Stena Prosperous, the 49,990 deadweight tonnage (DWT) vessel will fully commercially operate on methanol.

MOL receives new dual-fuel methanol vessel in South Korea

Mitsui OSK Lines (MOL) has taken delivery of a new dual-fuel methanol carrier at Hyundai Mipo Dockyard in South Korea. Named Cypress Sun, the vessel has been designed to operate using both methanol and traditional heavy fuel.

Wärtsilä to Roll Out Four More Methanol Engines

Technology group Wärtsilä said it plans to introduce another four methanol engines to its portfolio. In addition to the Wärtsilä 32 methanol engine launched last year, Wärtsilä will add the Wärtsilä 20, Wärtsilä 31, Wärtsilä 46F and Wärtsilä 46TS, available for deliveries at different points from 2025 onward.
